We started the FD R&D Center in early 2020. Due to the pandemic, we couldn't fully operate. However, instead of shutting down, we were able to repurpose our facility towards producing over a thousand mask, which we donated to the state. These masks went to front-line workers and people in need.
As a result, I became a pro at making masks. I posted a tutorial on YouTube and gave away the pattern. Today, that video has over 5000 views and comments from all over the world.
We also gave away free masks for online orders from our Poshmark store in 2020 and into 2021.
This was a tough time but I am grateful that we could continue operating while supporting the state of Maryland.
